Information we collect
We collect account details required to provide the service: email address, profile name, and, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile name, image, and account identifier. We also keep usage metrics and the content drafts you generate. When you connect a domain, we also collect the public data we scrape from that domain (homepage content, brand colors, business description) to personalize your generations.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider, which is the merchant of record for your purchase. Ryterr stores billing identifiers and plan status, not your card number.
If you connect Google Search Console, we also read the Google user data described in the Google user data section below.
How we use information
We use collected data to operate the service: generate your posts, apply usage limits, send transactional emails (account activity, generation failures, billing receipts), and answer support questions.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. Ryterr does not use your content or Google user data to train AI models. The providers listed under AI and infrastructure subprocessors receive data only to perform the task Ryterr sends them.
Google user data
Ryterr's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we access. Google sign-in gives us your name, email address, profile image, and Google account identifier. The optional Search Console connection uses a separate consent that asks for three permissions: read-only Search Console access (webmasters.readonly), and your Google account email address and account identifier (openid and email). Ryterr stores that email address and identifier on the connection to show which Google account is connected and to tell when you reconnect with a different one; they are kept until you disconnect Search Console or delete your account. With the read-only Search Console access, Ryterr lists the Search Console properties your Google account can open and, for the property you map to a brand, reads Search Analytics data (clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position by page and by query) and URL Inspection index status for pages matched to your Ryterr posts. Ryterr never changes anything in your Search Console account.
Why. To show how your posts perform in Google Search, recommend what to write or improve next, suggest topics, and answer your questions about search performance in Trace. Google user data is used only to provide these features to you.
Sharing. When you ask Trace about search performance, the figures, pages, and queries needed for that answer are sent to Trace's AI model provider to produce it. If you choose to generate or schedule a post from a topic suggested by your search data, that topic text is sent to the generation providers as part of the brief. Google user data is not transferred to anyone else except as needed for security, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
Human access. No one at Ryterr reads your Google user data unless you give permission for a specific item (for example in a support request), it is needed for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or it is required by law.
Storage and retention. Search Console access tokens are encrypted at rest with a dedicated key. The connected Google account's email address and identifier are kept with the connection until you disconnect Search Console or delete your account. Daily page performance and index status are kept until you disconnect Search Console or delete your account. Query text is deleted automatically after 90 days by default. Topic suggestions built from your queries expire 30 days after they were last refreshed; one you dismiss or write about keeps only its topic text, without search metrics, so it is not suggested again.
Disconnect and deletion. Disconnecting Search Console revokes Ryterr's access at Google and deletes the connected account's email address and identifier, the imported search data, and the unused topic suggestions built from it. Topics you already wrote about keep only their topic text. Deleting your account does the same. You can also remove Ryterr's access at any time from your Google account permissions.
AI and infrastructure subprocessors
Ryterr uses these providers to run the service. Each receives only the data needed for its task.
| Provider | Purpose | Data it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | Outlines, drafts, SEO metadata, rewrites, brand analysis, and Trace answers | Your brief, brand context, research, and draft text, and, for Trace, the question and the post or account context it needs |
| OpenAI | Fact checking with web search, writing-instruction suggestions, short structured steps (SEO metadata, title suggestions, brand extraction) when enabled, and image generation when enabled | Draft text, claims, brand context, and image descriptions derived from your post |
| Perplexity | Search research, topic research, and Trace answers when Ryterr runs Trace on Perplexity | Topics, brand context, and, for Trace in that case, the question and the post or account context it needs |
| Google (Gemini API) | Image generation | Image descriptions derived from your post |
| Lemon Squeezy (payment provider and merchant of record) | Checkout, subscriptions, tax and invoices | Email address, name, country, payment details you enter at checkout |
| Resend | Transactional email | Email address and message content |
| Cloudflare | Image and file storage (R2), network delivery for Ryterr, and rendering public brand pages that need a browser | Generated and uploaded images, request traffic, and the addresses of public pages on your site |
| Database hosting provider | Stores account, content, and usage records | All account data described in this policy |
Data retention
Your account data and generated content are retained until you delete them. Trace conversations expire after 30 days by default. Search Console data follows the retention described in the Google user data section.
Deleting your account cancels any active subscription, revokes a connected Search Console grant at Google, and removes your posts, images, brands, connections, API keys, Trace conversations, and usage history from the live database at the time of deletion. A minimal deletion record (a one-way hash of your email address, billing identifiers, and counts) is kept for billing reconciliation and audit, and so that signing up again with the same email does not grant the free posts a second time.
Webhook and audit logs may be retained longer for operational debugging and compliance.
